GidiMusic: Banky W – SettingP & LowKey

It’s  obvious that the EME boiz have been busy this year. First it was the SKALES who dropped 2 hawt  singles, then it was the Wizkid‘s  Pakurumo video, and now EME’s  pilot himself  Banky W is back with two brand new singles; #LowKey & #SettingP , both songs are tracks from the forthcoming #R&BW album!

The Sarz-produced #LowKey is a compelling R&B slow jam which not only gets you in that baby-making mood but also excellently showcases Banky W’s vocal dexterity and his songwriting prowess over captivating keyboard and violin arrangements and well-placed drum patterns.
Co-produced by MasterKraft and Banky W himself, #SettingP is a massive dance floor filler which is led by lush percussions and talking drums and grandiose synths which fuse beautifully with Banky W’s undeniable vocals that will most definitely get you dancing and going down low for all of four minutes.
Both songs also see Banky W showcase his versatility as he flexes his rapping skills on #SettingP and #LowKey. With these two songs, Banky W has officially returned as the King of African R&B and we CANNOT wait for the forthcoming #R&BW Album..
Perfect way to close a wonderful EME 2011

GidiMusic: Rilwan – Legacy feat Dammy Krane

Popularly known as “Butter Boy“, Rilwan Bawa-Bwari (born July 24 1989) stage name Rilwanhas gradually grown into one of the fast rising stars in the country.
Though influence by Rock Music back in Kings College, the upcoming Nigerian rapper seeks to bring something new to the music industry, although his sound bends towards the rap spectrum. Fascinated by the art of Rap, Rilwan started experimenting with words and this led him to be part of a brotherhood of musician called Av’lanche Music in 2007.
This did not last long as one of the members parted ways and Rilwan chose to remain in the undeground scene until he got spotted by PLAY records, an Abuja based Record Label and came up with his 1st single tagged “EVERYNIGHT” which he co-produced with sazzy, who is also on the Chorus of the song.
The song is based on the euphoric experiences faced by every young man and woman in a cold world. As a follow up Rilwan teamed up with label mate BUSH and long time friend LYNXXX to bring to the people a remix for “EVERYNIGHT” which had heavy rotation on radio stations and clubs in Lagos and Abuja.
His new single – Legacy featuring Dammy Krane has the perfect blend of conscious content and fuji rhythm marinated over an amazing instrumental made by Spanky. The track was mixed by Snowzy in the PLAY Records Studio. Listen up and enjoy!

GidiFresh: SKALES drops two new singles

As promised, E.M.E (Empire Mates Entertainment) are PROUD to present the BRAND NEW singles from their very own rap star Skales titled “Mukulu” and “Keresimesi” with production courtesy of Sarz.
Leading with the instantly infectious and catchy “Mukulu” – which is well poised to top mainstream radio charts and fill up dance floors all over the continent in the coming months –Skales shows off his vibrant, flamboyant and “lover boy” side with clever and witty lyrics and a glorious hook that you will not be able to get out of your head as he confesses his luv and affection for his leading lady over this lush drums-led production courtesy of the one they call Sarz. I dare you to try and not sing “Ja mukulu Ja mukeke” and move your body to this one!

While “Mukulu” is a catchy infectious crowd-pleaser, “Keresimesi” is an instant head-banger with which Skales boldly and confidently stakes his claim on that African Hip-Hop throne as this Sarz-produced rap milieu laced with resounding drum kicks and blazing trumpets perfectly usher Skales right to his rap kingdom and wiith straight shooting lyrics  such as, “The new King of Alaba stores” and “I’m headed NOT just for a Grammy, I want it all“, Skales makes it clear to everybody listening that he is officially out – all guns blazing – and gunning for that number one spot!
